Working with Gantry
Telegram: your fleet on your phone.
Gantry connects to Telegram through your own bot. You get alerts for finished prints, errors and low filament, camera photos and control buttons.

At a glance
- Your bot
- You set the token and the chat. Gantry talks to the Telegram Bot API directly.
- Your computer as the bridge
- The computer running Gantry must stay on, awake and online.
- Quiet
- Quiet hours and the /mute command keep notifications down.
02Step by step
Step by step
Create a bot
In Telegram open the verified @BotFather account, send /newbot and keep the token somewhere safe.
Message the bot
Open your bot, choose Start and send a message.
Find the Chat ID
Read the chat_id from the getUpdates response. Turn off the Telegram integration in Gantry while you do this.
Connect in Gantry
In the Telegram settings turn on the integration, enter the token and Chat ID, then send a test.
03Good to know
Good to know
- Commands: /status — one printer, /all — the whole fleet, /spools — rolls running low, /history — recent prints, /watch 10m — photos at an interval, /mute 2h — silence.
- Message buttons give pause, resume, stop, light and photo — when the printer supports them and control is turned on.
- Don’t show the token in screenshots or issue reports. If it leaks, revoke it through BotFather.
