01Compatibility
What works with Bambu Lab printers
Gantry 0.14 code. Features depend on the model, firmware and connection.
- Status and temperaturesYesProgress, layer, time remaining, nozzle, bed and chamber.
- CameraYesAll models: RTSPS on the X1, H2, X2D and P2S, a JPEG stream on the P1 and A1. Turn on LAN camera view on the printer.
- FilamentYesAMS and AMS HT: colours, active slot and the readings the printer provides.
- Print controlYesPause, resume and stop. On newer firmware, turn on LAN-only and Developer Mode on the printer. Object skipping on supported models.
- File uploadYes3MF files from the Farm, in LAN mode. Uploading a file does not start a print.

What you need to connect

- MQTT over TLS, normally port 8883.
- Printer details
- IP address, serial number and LAN access code.
- Discovery
- Gantry finds printers via SSDP and a subnet scan. You can also import your Bambu Studio configuration.
03Setup
How to add the printer in Gantry
- Make sure your computer and printer are on the same local network or VPN.
- In Gantry choose “Add printer…” and the Bambu Lab type. Use discovery or enter the IP address manually.
- Enter the serial number and LAN access code, then save.
- Open the printer details and check temperatures, AMS and camera availability.

Good to know
- On newer firmware, control needs LAN-only and Developer Mode on the printer. Without them the status card works, but the firmware refuses commands — Gantry shows the refusal.
- Discovery broadcasts may not cross VLANs or a VPN. Add the address manually or configure extra addresses, ranges or CIDRs to scan in the app.
- Don’t forward printer ports to the internet. For access away from home, use a VPN or the bridge on your own hosting.
